Today I’m going to talk about another kind of baby stroller called the “standard stroller”.

As you can tell by the name, this is usually a “standard” stroller. What I mean by this is that it’s heavier than a lightweight stroller, and has more features.

These extra features are usually things like larger seats, bigger wheels and more space to store things in. Sometimes they have added luxuries like music systems, and other things to entertain your child.

These strollers are great for most situations. They are very versatile and suit the needs of most parents. If you like to travel, then a standard stroller will work for you because nearly all standard strollers fold… usually with a useful one-handed mechanism which makes folding a breeze.

Standard strollers, however, tend to take up more space in the trunk of your car… and are much heavier to lift out of your car (compared to a lightweight stroller especially).

They can also be more difficult to manoeuvre in a busy crowded place (like when you’re out shopping) so a standard stroller isn’t necessarily for everyone.

If you need more storage space, and you would like extra features then a standard stroller may be best for you. But if manoeuvring and weight are a bigger concern, you may want to look for a different kind of baby stroller.

Having a lightweight stroller is extremely important, because you are going to need to be able to push and pull the stroller around, and consider how difficult it would be for you to get around tight corners if you did not have a lightweight stroller. Especially if you are a single mom, you are going to want to make sure that you get an extremely convenient and easily maneuverable stroller.

Choosing a Lightweight Stroller

There are definitely a number of options when it comes to strollers that are lightweight, one in particular being the Chicco Caddy Umbrella stroller, which is an incredibly lightweight stroller built with an aluminum frame, which is extremely important because even then it is very lightweight it is also very sturdy so your child’s safety will not be at risk.

As well, it offers a 5-point safety harness system with shoulder pads, an adjustable canopy with zippered storage pockets, a carry bag with a carrying strap for easy mobility, and an easy and convenient compact fold, so if you are by yourself you are still able to quickly and easily fold up the stroller when you need to.

Another great lightweight stroller option is the Britax Esprit, which is an ultra lightweight aluminum framed stroller that features a removable washable seat pad for easy maintenance, a removable adjustable hood and large basket for your and baby’s storage needs, ergonomic foam grips and parent bottle holder, easy adjust 5-point harness and fully adjustable reclining seat, all wheel suspension, and adjustable and padded leg rest so that the child can be as safe and comfortable as possible.

Yet another fantastic and worthwhile stroller option is the Joovy Groove lightweight stroller with swivel wheels, which is one that truly sets the standard for all other strollers like it. It includes all of the fantastic features that you would expect from a high end stroller, and this includes: a lightweight aluminum frame, reclining seat for the child, oversized canopy with an extending sun visor, drink holders and zippered storage space.
When it comes to lightweight strollers, one thing that you definitely have plenty of is choice, and so you want to take your time and browse through the different options so that you can decide on the one that is best for you and your particular and personal needs. Remember that all of the time and effort that you put in beforehand will be more than worth it when you find that perfect stroller.

Today I’m going to talk about the different kinds of baby strollers that are on the market.

The first kind of stroller I’m going to talk about is the “lightweight strollers”. Modern lightweight baby strollers usually weigh under 20 pounds.

They have the same kind of features as the larger stroller, but with the added bonus of being less heavy. Most lightweight strollers still have the basic features like reclining seats, sun shades and baskets for putting things in.

However, sometimes these strollers do not have reclining seats, which means you can’t use them for tiny babies. You need to check before you buy.

These kinds of strollers are perfect for trips outdoors, such as shopping, or a walk in the park. You can also keep them as a spare stroller in the trunk of your car, or any other situation where you think a lightweight baby stroller would come in handy.

Another type of stroller that I would like to talk about today is the “jogging stroller”.

This kind of stroller is great for outdoors types. Or you could even use it as a backup to a standard stroller, but many parents are comfortable with using these as everyday strollers as well.

The main features of this kind of stroller are its large and study frame, with strong tires and sleek frames. They often have suspension systems suitable for different kinds of terrain, and sometimes have hand grip brakes.

This kind of stroller is designed for the person who likes to be outdoors, and travel over rougher terrain occasionally. It goes without saying that this kind of baby stroller works fine on any surface.

Something you might need to know about these strollers is that they usually don’t fold as flat as a different type of stroller (like a lightweight or standard). So if you don’t really need an all-terrain stroller, and you’re looking for an “everyday” use kind of stroller, then you may want to look for a different kind. If you travel a lot, you may want to look at a lightweight stroller instead.

If your child is under 6 months, jogging strollers aren’t recommended.

Q) Is it safe to push only one child in a double stroller?
A) Yes, it’s safe to push only one child at a time. The strollers are balanced very well to accommodate different weights in children, or if needed to only have one child in the stroller at a time.

Q) How soon can I use a stroller with my new born?
A) It’s best to wait until the child can support his/her head. You should always check with your physician to see what they recommend. Dreamer Design makes an infant insert to help accommodate a younger child.

Q) If I break something on my stroller, how do I get parts for it?
A) If you need any parts for your stroller, you will need to contact the manufacture. If you need a contact number just email us and we will get that information for you.

Q) I live near saltwater, so which stroller is best for not rusting?
A) All the stroller models have steel somewhere on them. The more aluminum you have the better off you are. Strollers with an alloy frame and alloy wheels would be best.

Q) I am not really a runner I am just looking for a stroller that is easy to push down the sidewalk. I would like to be able to use it in the store also.
A) Strollers with 16″ wheels are the most versatile. You can push them easily down the road or stroll through the mall.

Q) Is the all weather canopy only good for rainy area’s?
A) No, the all weather canopy can be used in several other ways such as a wind block. In cold climates it can also be used to create a pocket of warm air to keep your child(ren) warm. Toys, blankets, bottles, and other items can also be held in with the all weather canopy. It does, however, work really well in the rain too.

Today I’m going to talk about the different kinds of “double” baby strollers.

So let’s get started:

One of the most important features of a baby stroller is how easy it is to push. And this stroller copes very well. It will quite easily tackle slightly rough terrain (gravel, for example) due to its robust wheels.

It also has a little parent console where you can store things. It isn’t huge, but it’s another to carry a few items like a cell phone and a bottle of water.

The InStep double stroller can take around 100lbs of weight, which is quite a sizeable amount when you consider how much it weighs itself. It’s obviously made of high quality materials. Which is what you should expect from a middle of the range stroller.

This double baby stroller (in case you haven’t seen a picture of it) has three wheels. To large wheels at the back, and a swivel wheel at the front. You can also lock the front wheel if you like. Some parents aren’t keen on swivel wheels, but I think it works very well with this model.

If you’re looking for a double baby stroller, then you may want to consider getting a “twin” stroller. In case you don’t know, a twin stroller is basically two single strollers stuck together.

A popular twin stroller is made by Chicco. It’s called the Chicco Citta Twin Stroller. It costs around $140 last time I checked, so it’s a little cheaper than the InStep… but not much.

The Chicco twin stroller can take less weight than the InStep. Each seat can take around 37 lbs before you run into problems. But this is usually enough for most parents needs.

One of the advantages of these twin strollers is that they are very lightweight, and easy to get into your front door, or the trunk of your car.

It has a 5 point harness as standard, which is really much better than the 3 point harness. It keeps your child much more secure.

This stroller is very easy steer, which is a necessity if you have other kids as well. Because you need to keep an eye of the other children, and not be preoccupied with trying to steer your stroller! The twin stroller makes this easy.

Other strollers that are similar to the Chicco Citta are the “Graco Duorider Colburn” which is around $117. Also, you can get a similar kind of design called the double side-by-side stroller. A good example of this design is the “Tango side by side strollers”. They are quite a bit more expensive, at around $330. But they are very stable, and have the added protection of a front bar across the two seats. It also has quite a few other features (which is what you should expect for $330).

Peg Perego also makes a lightweight side by side stroller, which is around $300. I personally prefer the Tango because I like the design and the features. But the Peg Perego is quite similar.

If you’ve got money to burn, you might like to get a double baby stroller called the “BOB revolution duallie sport utility stroller”. This weighs in at a whopping $530, so it’s definitely a top of the range baby stroller.

This is a three wheeled stroller. It has a suspension system that can move 3 inches, which cuts down on the bouncing and vibrations quite a lot. Your baby won’t feel a thing.

The front wheel can be locked which makes it much safer when you’re off road or going for a run. The rear wheels even feature brakes. The canopies are both independently adjustable. The shoulder harness is padded and very comfortable for your child. This really is a luxury stroller.

If you’re thinking of getting this top of the line double baby stroller, then bare in mind you’re child needs to be at least 6-8 weeks old to ride in it, because he or she needs to be able to support their own head.

Anyway, that’s all for today. I hope this post has given you some good information to help you decide which kind of double baby stroller is for you. There’s a lot of choice out there, so take you time to find the right stroller for you. Good luck!

There are many things to consider when choosing a jogging stroller. The most expensive model doesn’t always mean it will be the “best” product for your particular needs. The following information will help you decide what features are best for you.

Wheels Sizes:

The larger the wheel, the easier it is to push and roll over curbs, steps, and rugged terrain. You can also choose 16″ or 12″ if you do not intend to run frequently on rugged terrain.

Seat Sizes:

Each stroller page has a link under the photo which shows the dimension of each seat.

What wheel size should you buy?

20″ in rear and 20″ in front: frequent jogging and off-road use.
20″ in rear and 16″ in front: frequent jogging and off-road use.
16″ all around: walking and running with some off-road use.
12″ all around: walking and some running. We do not recommend 12″ wheels for jogging. It’s harder to push.

Shocks/Suspension:

This feature is particularly good for off-road use and rugged terrain. Since two shocks are used, the need for a larger wheel is not necessary.

Alloy vs. Steel Wheels:

Alloy wheels are recommended if your climate promotes rust (e.g., near the beach or areas where its snows). The best wheel for such environments is a polymer wheel found on our BOB SUS. Steel wheels will rust over time and they are costly to replace. However, if your climate is not caustic, steel wheels are fine. Keep in mind that steel adds about 1 lb. to the weight of the stroller vs. alloy.

Alloy Hubs vs. Steel:

Hubs are the part at the center of the wheel where the spokes attach. Alloy hubs are recommended ONLY if you are in a climate that promotes rust. The only stroller we offer with alloy hubs is the and Baby Jogger line. The BOB SUS with polymer wheels and the Baby Jogger II 20″ Alloy are the best strollers for rust prone climates.

Reclining Seats:

Jogging strollers do not have seats that recline fully, because it is considered dangerous. The reclining seats work by letting out the extra fabric in the back supported by an adjustable nylon strap. This is not like the conventional umbrella stroller. Do not expect this feature to work like a standard Graco or Century model.

Color:

If you jog at night, it is wise to get a color that is easy to see. This will increase the safety on the street, so that you are more visible to vehicles. Color is also an important factor in hot states. The darker the color, the more heat the fabric will absorb and will in turn make your baby uncomfortable. Choose your color according to your needs and climate, not just by what “looks cool.”

Resale Value:

Since jogging strollers are in such high demand, you will most likely get a good price a few years down the road, should you decide to sell. Keeping the fabric from fading is important. If it looks new, you will get more money. It is wise to invest in a carry bag and seat liner to protect the seat and stroller. These items will keep your stroller looking like new!

Another thing you need to think about when it comes to buying a baby stroller is how you like the wheels and handles to be. If you’re quit tall, you’ll need the stroller to have adjustable handles to accommodate your height, for example.

If you’re trying out the stroller in a store, it shouldn’t be too much trouble to see how the wheels perform. Does the stroller corner nice and smoothly? Do you think you’d be able to manoeuvre it in public places? How about crowded public places?

Something you might also want to try is seeing if you can walk fast and not hit the stroller with your feet. This is something most people neglect to think about before they buy a stroller, and wish they had done afterwards.

You should also check to see how the handles are made, and what they are made from. You want it to be comfortable on your hands, and not cause any discomfort or strain.

You need to keep in mind what you want from your stroller, and make sure the stroller you eventually buy meets all your requirements.

Buying the right baby stroller can be a complicated experience nowadays. There’s so many options available to you, and making the wrong decision can be expensive and stressful. So to help you out, I’ve prepared a few things for you to keep in mind before you buy a baby stroller.

Now one of the most important features of any baby stroller has to be safety. And one of the most important aspects of safety when it comes to baby strollers is stability. You need to make sure you pick a stroller that will easily remain upright… especially with a bag hanging over the handles. If you are buying a baby stroller on the internet, be sure to check reviews to see if there are any known problems with a particular stroller.

Another thing to check is the stroller harness. The best kind of stroller harness is a “five point” harness. This goes over your baby’s shoulders, and is the most secure type of harness to have.

Okay… that’s all I’ve got time for today. I’ll post some more tips in the next few days. I hope this will be useful to you.

The baby jogging stroller allows you to be able to go for your regular jogs with baby in tow, but it also ensures that your child is safe, secure and comfortable.

Your Baby Jogging Stroller Options

There are a few baby jogging stroller options in particular that are worth checking out, and one in particular is the 2007 BOB Ironman single baby jogging stroller, which is considered as being the epitome of running specific strollers, and also as a truly perfect addition to the Ironman brand lifestyle linked products in general.

It has an incredibly safe and sturdy welded aluminum frame, as well as a 12 inch alloy front, lockable swivel wheel, 16 inch alloy rear wheels, and a breathable padded seat area for your child’s comfort.
It also comes with an all-purpose cover that you can use to protect your child from the elements, and there are several storage pockets on the stroller for both parent and child to store their goods. A roomy storage basket beneath the seat is ready to hold the day’s essentials as well, and so you definitely have lots of room for everything that you and your child are going to need for the day.
